The first and most obvious question any reasonable person would ask is — why is this an issue for Trump? Why does he feel the need to establish that he can pardon anyone he wishes, including himself? Does he think he needs pardoning? Does he think anyone close to him, including family members, needs pardoning?

If it comes to that, and Trump starts wielding the pardon pen, he has the constitutional right to do so (although if he attempts to pardon himself, that may wind up in the Supreme Court). However, the political wisdom of such a move is an entirely different matter.

And his “but…but…but…HILLARY!” song and dance has gotten old. Hillary’s activities have been thoroughly investigated, and all such investigations have been completed with no charges filed. Investigations into Trump’s activities and the activities of his team are still in progress — but it’s obvious that they are making him very nervous and very scared.

If Trump is innocent, why is he acting so guilty? Hillary never did that, even though she’s been the target of a lot more investigations and probes than Trump has.
