The same could be said about Collins’ vote. And Murkowski’s. If either of these two had voted differently, this would have passed.
Americans should be grateful for every vote opposing this atrocious piece of legislation. That includes McCain’s vote, Collins’ vote, and Murkowski’s vote. None of those votes carried more weight than either of the other two.
For that matter, each of the Republicans’ three votes carried as much weight as any vote from the Democrats — who are also to be commended for holding tight and not allowing this piece of crap to become law.
