Then the President wouldn’t need to pardon himself, would he? So why are you so adamant about his right to pardon himself? Listening to you, one would assume he needs it.

If your position is that the President is innocent, then he doesn’t require pardoning — either by himself or by someone else.

If your position is that the President needs to be able to pardon himself, then you’re saying he’s probably guilty of something. And you don’t care how guilty he is, he just shouldn’t be penalized for it.

Find a position, and stick to it.

Here’s something that might help. Trump himself is making this pardoning thing an issue. Why is he doing that if neither he nor anyone in his circle has done anything wrong? Please explain that.
