“Pro-life” isn’t your label so you don’t get to define it. Sorry.

Yes, I realize that it’s a self-identifying label for those who oppose abortion. Even if they don’t give a crap about any kind of life outside the womb. But the word “life” is a generic word with a definition. And so is the prefix “pro”. And yes, I DO get to say that it’s a misnomer, because it is — unless applied to someone who respects life at all stages, such as the Pope.

“Pro-life” means “in support of life”. You don’t get to change the definition of either “pro” or “life”. You can call the term “limited to anti-abortion” but that doesn’t make it so. You’re the one trying to “redefine”. Not me.
