Yes, the manufacture of solar panels isn’t a completely green process. There’s much improvement to be made there, but improvements will be made as technology advances. Remember that solar energy is still in its relative infancy, and will improve as it grows, as most technologies do. However, it’s worth pointing out that once a panel is made, it will produce energy cleanly (and for free) for 25–30 years (and longer than that, but not at the same capacity). Unlike coal, which is not only rough on the environment obtaining it, but also consuming it.
If you’re going to claim that solar power is “dirtier than anything”, you’ll need to provide some backup from a credible source for that.
Oh, and ask the folks in Chernobyl or Fukushima how “clean” they think nuclear energy is.
Face it. Coal is on its way out. But your efforts to single-handedly save the industry have been amusing.
