You’ve proposed charity as a solution to providing healthcare for the needy before.

What you fail to grasp is that if you took ALL the charity money available in this country, it wouldn’t begin to fill the need. If it did, there would be no need for the government to get involved at all — charity could take care of everything.

But the problem is far too big for charity to deal with. And only the government is a large enough entity to make a difference.

By the way, there’s a big difference between auto insurance and health insurance. An auto is a convenience. One’s health is a survival need.
