Leaves change colour, you pull out your sweaters, start perfecting the hot coco recipe and cuddle up at every opportunity possible.
I’ve always favored fall, the simplicity of it. How it simply isn’t anything more than the transition between the heat of the summer and the relentless cold of the winter. Fall gets diminished here to a month or so, due to the Indian Summer and the early winter. I therefore try to savour the little I get. I wear sweaters too often, drink an extra cup of tea, and take pleasure in the rain. I decide to find joy in the simple things, have this month of restfulness before the dark and overwhelming winter takes over my emotions and sleep schedule. I always dread the winter, but let’s save that sorrow for another day.
