The Library Was the Place Where I Could Always Get More
Katie Hyson

In high school I cut school regularly to spend days in the local library where I could learn about things I’d never be taught in the private, uptight, Catholic school my mother insisted on sending me too. It was heaven on earth for me. I’d been reading since before school; I just couldn’t seem to satisfy my craving for information (still can’t). Funny thing was I never gave a thought to the fact that the librarians might question what I was doing there during school hours! And they didn’t.
