Rain Rain, Go Away…
.

“Mummy, there is water everywhere. Am I not going school today?”

“No darling, you’re not”

“But when will the rain stop falling”

“I don’t know”

Eyes misty, she starts to sing.

“Rain rain, go away, come another other day, little children wants to play”

She stops.

“Mummy see my Cinderella. It’s floating away”

“Darling, I’ll buy you another one”

“Why is nobody coming to help us? Even the government”

Silence, tears welling on mother’s face. She tries to say something but nothing exactly. She curls her within her arms, assuring her all will be well.

“Rain rain, go away, come another other day, little children wants to play” they sing together.
