Deeper than exploiting digital medium, the problem stems from the bad results of official dogma on healthcare and medicine: the very high number of deaths caused by iatrogenic behaviour (3rd cause of death in u.s. I think), medicine’s refusal to adopt a scientific data based model and instead being authority driven which leads to stuff like trans-fats recommended for 59 years and then admitting they kill you, the funding of research by private companies which distort the findings and theories massively, doctors' fear to admit not knowing and thus not communicating and not trusting patients, excessive specialization when the body is interconnected. All in all the whole of medicine needs rehaul to be really trustworthy. Then we would see much less attention to quacks and snake-oil salesmen.
