I can no longer be bothered!

Okay, so normally when it comes to Greek Mythology, I’m all in. But, after spending time with Immortals: Fenyx Rising, I feel like I got in WAY over my head!

So I’ve spent a good amount of time on this game and I feel like even being in the 2nd land of the game, I just don’t feel that invested in the game anymore. Normally, playing games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or even Assassin’s Creed Origins or Odyssey, I’d be up to my elbows in finding items.

However, there are several things about the game that I’ve grown to like and not like and I’ll discuss that in this review now.

  1. World Map, Fogged and Unfogged. I get that the devs thought it was a good idea to cultivate mystique as it were but this probably would’ve been better if they didn’t make every land accessible hence overwhelming the gamer.
  2. Less quests, Items Far and Wide. In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Valhalla and Origins, you could get items on your way to a particular place or sidequest which keeps the action fresh and less likely for you to fall asleep as you’re wandering the map. But in this game, you just have a couple of sidequests per parts of the land you’re exploring which can make going after the items very anticlimactic and boring. I can’t even count on one hand how often I’ve fallen asleep…
