Hello everyone!

Today I thought I would show you how I colored my hair with the new L’Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss Hair Color. If you’ve been following me lately, you might already know how I wanted to color my hair Jet black. I shared about my black hair craze on my recent post — hair color being the latest trend with a quick teaser.

Now that I am done with coloring my hair (yesterday), I am sharing the tutorial here. So that you can also color your own hair at home in a hassle-free way!

THINGS YOU’LL NEED:

  • L’Oreal Paris Casting Creme Gloss Hair Color — (Pick your favorite shade!)
  • An old T-shirt or a shawl
  • A water spray bottle (Optional)
  • Hair coloring brushes and combs (Optional)

THINGS TO REMEMBER:

1. The Casting Creme Gloss hair color contains the following inside the kit.

  • Developer Cream
  • Creme Colorant
  • Usage instructions pamphlet
  • A pair of gloves

2. As they provide a pair of gloves inside the pack itself you will not need a new one. However, make sure you are ready with any dark colored/old t shirt before you start the whole process. (To avoid staining)

3. If you are going for an even colour all over, its easy to get great results at home too. You don’t need help from anyone!

HOW TO COLOR YOUR HAIR AT HOME? : STEPS

STEP 1:

Detangle, wet your hair and towel dry it gently. It helps with easy application of the hair color. But do not go overboard and make your hair dripping wet. In between damp and wet would be okay. After this process, put on your gloves quickly — to avoid getting your hands stained.

STEP 2:

Pierce the creme colourant (No ammonia formula) and pour it into the developer cream bottle and close the lid carefully. Shake the bottle well to let the colorant and developer mix together. I picked the shade №200 — Ebony black. They have launched 12 shades in India!

P.S : Do NOT break the tip of the developer bottle before pouring the colorant into it!

STEP 3:

Part your hair into small sections and use hair clips to make them stay at a place. I’ve parted my hair into four sections. If you are coloring your hair to cover greys, then make even more smaller sections and pin them up gently to coat the color more evenly.

STEP 4:

Cut the tip of the developer bottle (I used a pair of small scissors) and apply the creme gloss little by little on the sections of your hair and spread it evenly till the ends.

STEP 5:

Spread the creme gloss evenly on all the sections of your hair. If you’d already colored your hair and doing touch ups, make sure to cover the area near roots. In case of contact with the skin, gently dab the creme with a soft wiping cotton. It is better if you apply some moisturizer/cold cream near your hair line and the back of your neck before your start. After application, secure your hair with a big hair clip and allow the Casting Creme Gloss to work on your hair for around 20 minutes (For more intense hair coverage, make it 25 minutes!) I have no grey hair issues, hence I left it for 20 minutes only.

STEP 6:

After 20 minutes, rinse your hair well with lukewarm water. Make sure to rinse it twice more than you do as usual to ensure the removal of residues. After rinsing, towel dry your hair (optional step; you may just sqeeze the extra water from your hair gently) and put on the conditioner you got along with the pack. (Avoid the roots!) Allow it to sit on your hair for 2–3 minutes and give a final rinse with cold water. Allow your hair to dry naturally and you are done!

Its an easy-to-color at home hair color kit, which will be a boon for everyone!
