Pink

Remember when we first met
Under that cloudless sky
With its fascinatingly calm tint
That tint was pink.
Remember when I first saw your eyes
They burned into mine with life
Stars were still shining in them
They were bright pink.
Remember the cherry blossom tree
Under which we were seated
Shy giggles escaped your lips
As the rain was baby pink.
Remember what you wore that day
Silky long dress, satin ribbons
Gloss on lips, blush on cheeks
They were all lady pink.
Remember that soft flowerbed?
I lie now in it, clutching the memories
Your passionate love in these flowers
They grew from your blood red, but they blossomed pink.
