Methods used to process green coffee differ
Using no moisture (Natural)
The technique of dry processing coffee is popular everywhere in the world. So, contaminants are taken out of mature coffee berries before they are plucked, dried in thin layers, and distributed uniformly on the truss. The drying procedure usually takes three weeks, depending on the weather.
Using the dry pre-processing method, the coffee beans will be totally preserved with the most natural flavors, emphasising the bitter, fruity, and chocolate flavors of the coffee cup.
The Wet Process (Washed)
The coffee berries are collected, then put in a meat separator before being put in a sizable soaking tub for fermentation. The residual meat that adheres to the coffee bean husk should next be washed and dried. Each coffee bean has a superior flavor quality after wet pre-processing.
The fermenting procedure helps to maintain each type’s unique natural acidity by maintaining the greatest amount of acid in pure coffee beans.
Processing of honey (Honey)
The fundamental idea behind this technique is to machine the husks after choosing the most ripe coffee from the farmers’ orchards. The coffee beans will then be equally spread out on a tall trellis, dried in the sun, and covered with a plastic roof.
The drying process takes 20 to 45 days under optimal circumstances. The honey processing technique increases the green coffee beans’ flavor diversity by enhancing the fruit flavor.
