Scheduling bots in healthcare

“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever”. Mahatma Gandhi

Scheduling is the most complex and important lever to drive business and clinical side of healthcare businesses. At Sikka Software we have now been experimenting with automated scheduling bots for nearly a year. It can be via mobile app (www.PracticeMobilizer.com) or by text and email. One such AI was developed by Abhay Dare and Kiran Darekar from our iBrain team (anyone remembers Isaac Isamov iRobot?) and is called Aleena . Aleena is AI that is able to converse with a patient by email unattended and schedule, reschedule, book and with doctors prior approval cancel appointments. It is bidirectional. In other words it responds in both doctor initiated or patient initiated scheduling requests.

Aleena uses Facebook, and Amazon ML libraries to deliver an incredible and smooth experience for users on both sides. Plus Aleena is getting smarter everyday which brings me to the quote of Mahatma Gandhi. Aleena is learning as if it will live for ever.
