Readings: ‘The richest man in Babylon’
Author: George Samuel Clason
A book with good ideas. I enjoyed reading it.
- Need for positive attitude towards wealth (prosperity and freedom) and its generation. One has every right on his savings, and he must feel proud of that and invest every penny very carefully. He must find ways to increase the wealth by virtue of hard-work and thoughtful investments.
- One chooses to live like a free man or a slave. Industry/hard work/ work /wealth leads to freedom
- Emotional decision, indolence and procrastination are enemies of wealth. For wealth, ‘pay yourself ‘(financial goals — education, house, retirement)first followed by living within what is left.
- Loan to be given to the worthy. Safety of principal (hard earned money) is to be protected by all means
- One should take care of family and their needs. Wishes and desires have no end so these must be taken care within the means (Income — savings for future)
