Please don’t tell me
your name is Pat
that you grew up
in a large family
in a small
midwestern town

please don’t tell me
that those gone years
are more real
than these times
right here

or that being born
under a star
determines who you are
though that may be
within the kaleidoscope
of possibility

better not try too hard
to figure it out this way
because each new attention
each point correction
changes the interpretation
ad infinitum

but no worries

to lighten the hold
let your imagination go
and with passionate heart
immerse yourself
wholly
head to toe

rebirth yourself
in the blue blue
ubiquitous pools
of free flowing
clear singing
wild dancing
wind rushing
waters

feeling the cool cool
wetness of oceans
swimming with
dolphins
tumbling round
and around
in the waves that
abound

everywhere
they’re everywhere

so awake from the spell ~

all is well.
