the Wander

size: 50 x 50 cm, Montreal 2015

کشتی شکستگانیم
ای باد شرطه برخیز

We are wandering in a broken vessel,
time for the winds to rise.

Nous errons dans un vaisseau brisé,
Il est temps pour les vents de se lever.

a bit of context

He was a Persian poet who lauded the joys of love and wine, but also targeted religious hypocrisy. His collected works are regarded as a pinnacle of Persian literature and are to be found in the homes of most people in Iran, who learn his poems by heart and use them as proverbs and sayings to this day. Themes of his poems are love, faith, and exposing hypocrisy.
