Are you actually saying the best way to become independent, when it comes to energy, as a nation, is to be dependent on a finite resources? Do you see what the problem is there?

You know, the resources to transition to actual independence are already here, and you could make a shit load of money if that’s your only interest (let’s be honest here) They’re called renewables. It’s like money growing on a tree!

Just yesterday I read a group of investors in Shell are urging the company to start the transition to renewable energy.

No but in all seriousness. A fraction of the people who still want to depend on finite resources that bring very questionable consequences with them, are going to one day wake up and realize they have missed the boat. While others in their field have transitioned, their own companies will go bankrupt because of their sheer pigheadedness to keep investing in an outdated model of energy.

Although, looking at the colour of the author’s hair, and their wrinkles, maybe they won’t live to see that day. Maybe that’s their problem, thinking it’s not their problem anymore soon enough. Your children and their children will thank you, or should I say, make all efforts to forget you.

It’s not too late.
