This Friday’s Five: 25/8/17
Tim Ferriss sends out a 5-Bullet Friday email blast, which I love. I also have 5 things to talk about.
What I’m reading: Everybody Lies: Big Data, New Data, and What the Internet Can Tell Us About Who We Really Are on my Kindle App. Totally fascinated about what Google search trends tell us about the private human nature that isn’t always shown publicly. Quote:
“I am not convinced that Google searches are the most important dataset ever collected on the human psyche.”
Agree.
What I’m wearing: Rent The Runway Subscription. An advertorial in Business Insider posted as a sponsored story in my Facebook feed caught my click last night while I was surfing the web. Did you know RTR has a monthly subscription box for designer clothes that works like Netflix? My first box arrives on Tuesday. This is more money then I’m used to spending on clothes, but it still fits in my budget.
What I’m planning: An Event for Boise Startup Week. Looking forward to seeing the entrepreneurial community come together. I’ll be working on some educational events sponsored by the Boise Angel Alliance.
What I’m eating: Plated. These subscription boxes are such a joy to me. I’ve been so impressed with every Plated meal that I’ve created. They’ve taken ALL of the hard work out of meal preparation and I’ve learned a lot about cooking from their recipes. Last night’s Carne Asado tacos were bomb.

What I love: DATA USA: Stunningly beautiful data resource about everything you wanted to know about the USA — broken up by topic or location. #nerdout
