This suggestion risks perpetuating the “echo chamber” effect that caused half of voting America and U.K. to be tone-deaf to the (legitimate) concerns of the other half. It is analogous to the “safe space” concept which risks perpetuating an “all views are welcome as long as they are our views” paradox.

One could credibly argue that freedom of speech and opinion have taken a significant step back since the advent of “social” media and the de facto appointment of platforms and so-called “algorithms” as curators of truth and public opinion. Truth is not the output of a popularity contest.
