Apple Arcade vs Google Stadia

Within a span of just seven days, the world of gaming has found itself at the receiving end of two big ticket announcements from tech giants Apple and Google. Exciting as they are, the announcements have sent the gaming geeks into a tizzy, and a heated debate about the old rivals’ brand new gaming products.

Google might be the new kid in town but it has sure shown up in a vehicle fancy enough to grab eyeballs. Its new offering Google Stadia is as ingenious as it is ambitious, while Apple’s more recent announcement Arcade puts a smart twist on a simple premise. Although the two products are decidedly different from one another, leaving little room for comparability, I couldn’t resist the temptation of seeing how they stack up against each other.

It is, after all, a clash of two Titans in the world of tech.

Google’s new offering is aptly named Stadia, reflective of the large-scale, community gaming experience it seeks to recreate for you at the comfort of your home, with the ease that comes with using your own device.
