Vine Money dApp Guide

The Vine Money dApp is now live. Access it by clicking “Launch App” on the Vine Money website.

On the app you can mint vUSD and earn rewards by:

Continuing to hold your vUSD / maintain your vUSD debt.
Depositing vUSD to the Stability Pool, which is designed to help maintain the vUSD peg.
Adding ROSE/VINE LP.

You also lock your $VINE tokens to boost rewards as well as get voting rights to vote on the allocation of emissions in the Vine ecosystem. Remember that voting for the period of 7th — 13th March takes place on 6th March, so get voting today!

This article provides a guide on how to use the key features:

1. How To Mint vUSD / Repay Loans / Withdraw Collateral

STEP 1: Connect Wallet

Load up the Vine Money app by clicking “Launch App” on the Vine Money website.
Click “Connect Wallet” in top-right-hand corner.
Approve to switch to Oasis Sapphire if requested and sign/approve any pop-up requests in your wallet.

STEP 2: Deposit Collateral

Once you have connected your wallet, you can deposit tokens into the vault, which can then be used to mint vUSD.

To make a deposit:

Navigate the “Vault” section of the dApp (this will be default screen when you load app).
Enter the amount of $ROSE you wish to deposit, and press “Deposit” (make sure you also have enough $ROSE to cover any gas fees).
Press “Continue” when pop-up screen comes up and approve any requests in your wallet.

STEP 3: Mint vUSD

Once you have deposited collateral, you can then mint vUSD. To do this:

Navigate to the “Mint vUSD” section of the dApp.
Enter the amount you wish to mint and select your Collateral Ratio (make sure you also have enough $ROSE to cover any gas fees)
Press “Mint”
Confirm in your wallet
After sufficient confirmations have been received, your vUSD will be minted.

STEP 4: Repay vUSD

At a later date, when you no longer wish to keep holding your vUSD / collect rewards etc. you can withdraw your collateral. First you must repay your vUSD debt. To do this:

Navigate back to the “Vault” section of the dApp.
You vUSD balance should now be visible here.
To repay your vUSD debt, navigate the the “Repay” tab within the “Vault” section.
Enter the amount you wish to repay, press “Repay” and confirm in your wallet.

STEP 5: Withdraw Your Collateral

Once you have repaid (a portion of) your vUSD debt, your $ROSE collateral will be available to you again. To withdraw it:

Stay in the “Vault” section of the dApp and switch from the “Repay” tab to the “Collateral” tab.
Select the amount of ROSE you wish to withdraw, click “Withdraw” and confirm in your wallet.

2. How To Lock $VINE Tokens To Get Voting Rights & Boosted Rewards

$VINE token holders can lock their tokens to get voting rights and boosted rewards.

To do so, navigate to the “Lock” page, select the amount you wish to lock and press “Lock”

In addition to voting power, locked $VINE also grants up to a 2x reward boost depending on the locking time.

In this section, you can also see how much $VINE has been locked, and the individual voting power.

3. How To Vote On Emissions Allocation

Once you’ve locked your $VINE and secured your voting rights, you can go to the Vote page, to vote on the emissions on each pool for the next week, including:

Emissions allocated to holders of vUSD / maintaing vUSD debt (vUSD Debt)
Emissions allocated for minting vUSD (vUSD Minting)
Emissions allocated to the Stability Pool (Stability Pool)
Emissions allocated to providers of LP to the $VINE/$ROSE liquidity pool (VINE/ROSE LP)

Remember that voting for the period of 7th — 13th March takes place on 6th March, so get voting today!

4. How To Redeem vUSD For $ROSE

At any time you can redeem 1 vUSD for $1 worth of ROSE, whilst your debt remains the same. This can be done in the Redeem tab.

5. How To Earn $VINE Tokens

The Earn page displays the different way to earn $VINE tokens.

There are 3 ways to earn $VINE:

By continuing to hold your vUSD / maintain your vUSD debt.
By depositing vUSD to the Stability Pool, which is designed to help maintain the vUSD peg.
By adding ROSE/VINE LP

To claim rewards for holding vUSD/maintaining vUSD debt or depositing to Stability Pool, simply click “Manage” on the Earn dashboard.

To earn rewards by adding LP to the ROSE/VINE LP, simply add LP and stake your LP on the IllumineX ROSE/VINE liquidity pool here.
