Thanks for the response Margaret Zhang! I have limited experience with Azkaban but some of the benefits of using code to define workflows include reusability (we have an internal library of operators to define complex conditions on the workflows) as well as allows dynamic creation of workflows. These are limited and difficult when using properties/configuration files.
