“Ownership” is the key. As long as people will travel for work for their employer or team or client, they are less likely to feel motivated because the ‘work’ is tied to ‘external rewards’. The moment they start working for themselves — that work is such a joy for their own self, for their own goals, for their own time that ticks every second — work itself is a reward. And this transforms into huge motivation. So, to own the joy to work (ownership of why we work) is the key.
