How running changed me forever
It’s supposed to be hard
the hard is what makes it great.

My running journey started about 2 years ago in Hyderabad where i was getting fatter by the day and eating unhealthy by the hour. Looking at one of my office pics after it got clicked struck me bad where was all this headed. I had always been the athletic girl who absolutely loved sports. Then it happened i decided to run daily and make it a point to gym as well. Got up early mornings to complete my 5 km runs and ran my first 5 km in August 2014 (Hyderabad marathon). After which small running events here and there kept me busy and buzzing. I met interesting people along the way and KBR park was my second home. Running is a passion which keeps me going for people starting out its not easy when you are running long distances say even a 10 km along you have to motivate and push your body. Its rightly said that runners make the best CEO’s it makes you mentally and physically strong.
I have run mostly 10 kms around 10 events in a year and hope to run my maiden half marathon in the month of October (Bengaluru Half Marathon). Running has given me new experiences, new faces in my life.
I have also faced some cristicism and jokes around my habit of running but it keeps me fit mentally and physically.
What makes running unique is the right mix of flexibility and exercise you get from it. Not only do you lose calories but also become mentally and phsically fit.
Pushing your body to run 10 plus kilometers isn’t an easy job you learn so much about yourself and your body through the many hours you spend while running. In the end its not about how fast you completed your run but the distance that matters.
To sum it all up what running has given me is a fitter, better and longer future. So why are you still sitting on your couch why don’t you just run?
