Trek to Kodachadri
Treks are a nice way to meet new people, breakthrough from your normal routine and just be yourself.
We took a trek to Kodachadri (Located near Shimoga, Karnataka), Kodachadri is a peak at a height of 1343 metres above sea level.
On Friday we started for this trek few people from Bangalore and most others from Hyderabad the idea was to have an experience. I drove down with two of my friends from Bangalore, the roadtrip was a fun one all of us reached Shimoga on Saturday morning. The trek has three routes jeep route , hidulmane falls route and the Santosh hotel route. We planned to visit the falls and climb up the falls on the first day to make it a bit challenging for everyone. The route was an absolute beauty with the towering Hindulmane falls and at the end of it a 60 degree climb to test ones endurance.
We spent some time in the falls underneath the massive beauty with an amazing back massage to end it ;)
Our destination for the first day was the PWD guest house. We had some amazing dinner and tea. The night saw some amazing conversations and new discoveries.
The conversations make some treks memorable, i think that was the highlight for this one.
Day 2 we decided to wake up early and head out to get a view of the sunrise .
We waited patiently on the top of a hill for two hours but ended up getting a view only after two hours .. The majestic sun rising from the ashes to appear.
We got back and had breakfast some yummy upma and rice with tea.
While descending we took the Santosh hotel route which passes through thick forest and beautiful grasslands .
We finished our trek around 1 pm on Sunday. After spending some time locating our fellow trekker who had gone out to find the private bus we were going to head back we made it back to our start point Shimoga on time :)
