Gay men versus mental health

This is a serious situation often ignored, even by our own gay people. We just don’t understand, or want to understand the impact of homophobia, despite the fact that it’s not hard to google the statistics and find multitudes of documentation of how hard many gays lives are. We must gather our strength and tell our stories! It’s not guaranteed that heterosexuals will learn anything; but we need to write for ourselves as gay men and women, so that we don’t lose sight of the struggle. Healing that comes from our own communities has the most impact. Can’t ignore it. It’s destroying us. This is what beliefs does to other human beings who are simply different.
