We started homeschooling our boy when they were young. I think they went to a public or private school about three years of their schooling. When they graduated, they went into the military. At first, I felt I didn’t do an excellent job at educating them. All three boys took the ASVAB and made high grades. Two of them were in the low to mid 90’s while one of them was in the high 80’s. To me, that proved I did a better job at teaching them than I thought.
Now, my two girls have difficulties due to FAS, and they were drug babies. The challenges in front of us are more significant than what I had for my boys. Because of the problems they face, it will not deter me from schooling them at home. I feel I am better qualified at teaching them than someone who doesn’t care about them.
Glad to hear that you are satisfied with your choice. Well done!
