An ambitious drive by the Chinese Government along with its “public” collaborators is set to release globally by April 25, 2020. We do not know Chinese (a gap in our education), but many websites can be translated into English, there is also an overview whitepaper in English. The information in this note has been garnered from these first-hand sources.

It is now April 25 and the system has launched with a pandemic sensitive virtual ceremony. More details are coming out and we will keep this updated.

There is a new technical whitepaper which does not seem to be very technical. This is a link to the website, since a link to the whitepaper causes an immediate download.

This is a short note that explores some of the technical, policy and governance underpinnings. The overall goal of BSN is to ease the entry of small and medium size Chinese enterprises into the world of Blockchain. In addition, by creating a standard for adaption into a BSN node, and pre-creating node binaries that can participate in permissionless networks, there is a pathway for Enterprise and permissioned blockchains to belong to BSN; BSN already promises to have nodes for Ethereum and EOS and some other permissioned blockchains.
