I remember visiting Seomoz on a regular basis to enlighten myself on the subject. This was back in 2011–12. Thanks for those times. The frequency of visits have increased now that I am party of a marketing team. And yes, you helped me get here. Thanks.
●I agree that many companies, in order to expand their product range, keep building new products and in turn lose focus from their core expertise.
●Software does have good margins but something is still wrong with the companies’ expense model that they are still not in profit! And to reach that goal, the immediate solution, although painful, is layoffs. I believe companies and laid-off employees share a similar future at this point. Uncertain.
As I said there are many important points you mentioned in this post. If I include all of them here I might end up re-writing the entire post :p
