Following the significant progress made regarding our blockchain technology, especially with the Eagle testnet, we think it is time to prepare for the mainnet’s arrival!
Our mainnet will become VGO’s new home at its launch, with block rewards minting more of it and gas fees burning some; But VGO will not disappear from the Binance Smart Chain ecosystem:
At launch, the current token on BSC will be repurposed as a Wrapped token, enabling anyone to move their VGO freely between the Smart Chain and Virgo’s chain using a Bridge.
It implies that the bridge contract must be able to mint and burn VGO to function and balance the token’s supply and the mainnet supply.
Unfortunately, our current smart contract (0xbee5e147e6e40433ff0310f5ae1a66278bc8d678) doesn’t support the burn and mint features we need to build this bridge. That’s why we will change for another smart contract on April 4!
It will still be named VGO, have the same tokenomics, and will be distributed automatically to all holders on a 1:1 basis, keeping the same price, plus a 20,000$ buyback!
The mint function will only be accessible to the bridge’s smart contract at mainnet launch, and for added security will be capped to 0.5 VGO every 10s (1576800 VGO / year), which corresponds to the mainnet’s emission rate.

We’ll take a snapshot of the current token on April 3 at 2 PM UTC, including VirgoFarm stacks. Then, we’ll automatically distribute the new tokens at a 1:1 ratio according to it. Finally, we’ll move the VGO/BNB PancakeSwap pool’s funds to the new one on April 4 at 2 PM UTC and add 20,000$ bonus liquidity, increasing VGO’s price!
In addition to these changes, we will also be releasing VirgoFarm V2, a better way to stake your VGO and earn passive revenue!
