Our team searched for the most equitable way to distribute the VGOs so that there isn’t a small group of people controlling the project, with whales secretly holding the majority of the supply.
Our goal is to allow people supporting the project to be rewarded without running the risk of market manipulation.
After a few months of researching a solution, only one convinced us. It’s not an ICO, neither selling to VCs nor unleashing all the supply at once. All these solutions would have created abusive wealth concentration.
No, the key is to distribute the vast majority of VGOs over several years to our holders! This way, supply will slowly and steadily flow into the market, permitting new investors to buy but not whales to overtake all the market at once and own it!
This solution has for code name VirgoFarm.
Virgofarm will be a smart contract allowing you to block your VGOs for at least one month. In return, the contract will reward you each week with new VGOs, up to 25% per year!
Of course, we cannot and do not want to print new tokens; the quantity of VGOs to distribute remains limited to 22M tokens. To make the protocol last over time and prevent the price from suffering too much inflation, the number of tokens distributed per year cannot exceed 10% of the total, i.e., 2.2M VGOs.
When we reach 8.8M tokens blocked in VirgoFarm, the yield will automatically adjust to respect this limit.
Therefore, the supply will be distributed over more than ten years via slight inflation, allowing us to welcome many investors while generously rewarding those who have supported us for a long time.
