Prime Video’s: The Boys Season 4 Takes Satire and Gore to Another Level

The Boys is hands down one of the most gory TV series out right now. Fans of The Boys will love this continuation of the wildly popular comic series of the same name. The series picks up where season 3 left off. Viewers get some resolution from the cliffhangers from last season and are introduced to two new supes, Sister Sage (Susan Heyward, Powers) and Firecracker (Valorie Curry, The Following), Butcher (Karl Urban), Hugie (Jack Quaid), Starlight (Erin Moriarty) and the crew are back and up to familiar shenanigans trying to stop the seemingly unstoppable Homelander (Anthony Starr).

Season four is super raunchy. There are some things that happen that I wish I hadn’t seen but watch to be able to give a fair and balanced review. The Boys is take no prisoners, take no sides satire. Season 4 goes further into mocking the corporate industrial entertainment complex and American politicians with a plot that blends in what audiences learned from the spinoff series GenV. All the actors are top-notch. Full disclosure: I am an acquaintance of Valorie Curry (Firecracker), and I say with total honesty that she knocks the ball out of the park playing this role. The job…
