One last hit

We always look for motivation and example outside, and we always want someone to help us, guide us and motivate us, but we should know one important thing, we all have a different life and we all have a different problems, there cannot be a same solution for all problems. Thus, it is important that everyone should look for solutions within themselves, rather than finding them outside.

To prove this, I have a story which I am willing to share, and converting it into a blog,

On 1st April 2023, I was walking to ISKCON temple Abids from my home, which is 50 minute walk. I was thinking about, what will be there in Prashad and would I get any seva there. When I crossed Darussalam and next to that there is a wine shop, one auto driver, he was drunk, he was smelling filthy, he requested I start the auto, I was not ready to help him but seeing to his face, he was pleading, I was like let me help this guy, without any genuine intention to help, I started pulling the handle for my sake.

The first time when I started to pull the handle, I couldn’t move it properly, I face self-doubt at times, and I was like I become so weak that I am unable to move the handle properly. then I tried again and I could move to the end, I tried 5- 6 times continuously, thhaaannn, thhaaannn, thhaaannn, thhaaannn, thhaaannn, thhaaannn but it didn’t get started.

I replied to him, it is not getting started, he was like, tried only twice more you will able to do it, I made up my mind that, not more than twice, again I tried to pull the handle, but I couldn’t pull properly, took a deep breath and pulled it twice in a successive manner, but auto didn’t start.

I was like now it’s done, but my subconscious mind says that, try once again, give an extra shot than he asked for, I pulled it and auto get started, I felt relaxed and happy, but the auto driver was happier than me, he thanked me, I replied him with namaste and thank you, I continued my journey towards ISKCON.

At that time, I didn’t realize the importance of that incident, but when I reached home at the night and started to contemplate the incident, I felt I learnt an important lesson today, that we decide that this will be our last attempt and we leave the work and efforts, but we must try at least one extra time, who knows me may get succeeded. Thus, life is ready to teach us at every step, we just need to be open and live it with gratitude.
