Why we need mobile responsive website?
My Previous blog is about Why do we need Website? and we discussed about the advantages of having website. Now lets see why we need mobile responsive website?
In 1997, there were approximately 1 million websites, and 10 years later, there were 150 million. In 2007, there were about 1 million mobile websites, and the number is supposed to reach 150 million by 2017. It is clear that mobile friendly websites are going to increase exponentially in the years to come. The internet started on the PC but with more than 3 billion mobile phones being used world wide, we are soon approaching a time when many people’s first internet experience will be through a mobile device. These rapid changes have left the business world with no choice other than to adapt to them. With mobile devices taking over the place of the PC, not having a mobile friendly website is like committing business suicide.
Just have a look on the following statistics, Smart phone users are gradually increasing their bar than desktop users.

Now lets see why mobile responsive is important:
One half of web traffic is Mobile: I have yet to meet a website owner who wasn’t interested in increasing traffic. As of May, 2014 (over a year ago), mobile media consumption was 21% higher than that of desktop, accounting for a 51% of ALL digital media consumption.
Everyone’s is on mobile: We are no longer living in a world where smartphone users can be considered the exceptions. We are not even living in a world where excessive smartphone users can be considered exceptions. Today, 1.2 billion people are accessing the web from mobile devices. An incredible 80% of all internet users use a smartphone. In other words, if they’re online, they are most likely on their phones.
Reachability: If you have a responsive website then you have the ability to reach a lot more people and that means more traffic. It can really pay off so you should definitely change your website layout to a responsive one.
Conversions: Mobile users are not going to convert if your website is not responsive or at least dedicated. Having a responsive layout makes the site more appealing, easier to use and it entices people to convert which is what matters the most.
Usability: Once you create a responsive website you can rest assured that people will have no problem using it regardless of the device they visit it from. This brings better usability and higher quality user experiences in the end.
You want to stay competitive: If you’re concerned about what your competitors are doing and how they are servicing their customers, your website should be responsive. According to a recent study by Google’s Think Insights team, if a user lands on your mobile website and is frustrated or doesn’t find what they are looking for, there is a 61% chance they’ll immediately leave and go to another website. It’s also said that if a user instead has a positive experience with your responsive website, they are 67% more likely to buy a product or use a service.
Mobile users Buy more: Across devices, mobile users actually spend more than their desktop counterparts. Smartphone users account for the lowest dollar amount per transaction. These users are conditioned to make small, frequent purchases. If you are attempting to sell something below $10, mobile users are an ideal audience for your offer.

Tablet users, on the other hand, have the highest average transaction value of any device, including desktops.
Google favors mobile responsive: For some time now, Google has favored mobile friendliness in its search rankings. As of April, however, the stakes have been raised, and mobile responsiveness is more important than ever for pleasing Google and acquiring organic traffic.

In conclusion, there are lots of reasons why you need to have a responsive website. Make sure that you use this to your advantage and create a responsive website design, this way you can generate more sales and the outcome will be more than impressive, that’s for sure!
Go! Have a website with mobile responsive! Be the tough competitor in market.
