Vitality in Aging Research Group Launches with Ground-Breaking Longevity Studies

--

Fort Lauderdale, Florida — Vitality in Aging (VIA) Research Group, a new public benefit research organization, announces its launch with a ground-breaking longitudinal study investigating biomarkers and other measures associated with aging.

The Vitality in Aging Research Group will then launch a formal intervention clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy of specific compounds that have demonstrated regenerative effects in animal models and small proof-of-concept human trials. The in vivo effects of these medical interventions in human study subjects will be measured by individual biomarkers and algorithms of aging.

The VIA Longitudinal Study is modeled after the famous Framingham Heart Study, which produced more scientific discoveries about cardiovascular disease than any other study in history.

The Principal Investigators are James P. Watson, M.D., FCAS, Clinical Faculty member of the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles, and Chief Medical Officer of the VIA Research Group, and Brian M. Delaney, President of the Age Reversal Network, and Director of the VIA Research Group.

Aging and its related diseases are the leading causes of death today. The VIA Longitudinal Study and the VIA Interventions Trial together will seek to illuminate the significant risk factors related to declines in functional or biological age as well as to identify potential therapies that may slow or even reverse symptoms associated with aging.

VIA Research Group will begin recruiting study participants and performing various tests during RAADfest, the largest conference on longevity that attracts international speakers and will be held at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada from October 3–6, 2019.

Over the next ten years, VIA Research Group plans to evaluate 1,000 study participants, looking at various biomarkers, as well as lifestyle factors, and physical and cognitive measurements. It is the most comprehensive testing protocol used in an aging study to date, and the study participants will receive access to their results.
