This is very true, however not in every case. It would be interesting if you could expand on this point a little more.

As part of 2 week dev sprints I have successfully embedded user research that allows ‘just enough’ and ‘just in-time’ research, which in most cases will be very specific. The real challenge is how to embed user research that is ongoing without taking long breaks and stopping development. Usually this means running design sprints or longer, richer studies on one part of the product/service while devs work away of smaller changes in another area.
