APK Installer for Mac OS X

12 Apr 2015

Almost 7 years after first release of Android OS, I realized that still today a lot of users (developers, Q&A engineers, designers…) have no opportunity to just double click on those .apk files in order to easily install the app on the device.

Since I’m always simplifying things and automating all the possible routines, I dicided to create an OS X app for that.
With APK Installer.app you’ll be able to create file association between .apk files and the app. Thus providing a way to double click on any .apk file and directly install it on the currently connected devices.

Further instructions can be found at the github page where you can also grab the .zip containing the app itself.

For now I release it only for Mac OS X and with more time I plan to expand it to other Operating Systems. Stay tuned!
