Although I quite enjoyed this article and agree on some of the points, it’s this type of writing that fuels unformed and poor decision making by managers and non-technical decision makers. It’s a dangerous article because it provides the ammunition and encouragement for people with limited knowledge or experience in this domain to make potentially destructive technical decisions over the heads of far more experienced and knowledgeable people.

Before you make broad sweeping claims about technology and architectural choices used by 1000s of companies across the world, make sure you have some facts to support your point of view. As it stands, this is just a rant with no weight behind it.
