Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I can’t express the importance of this article. As a Nigerian who didnt grow up with “disease, poverty or war” Freshman year was tough for me; getting asked questions about how I could speak a second language if I was African, if I had lions in my backyard and much much more. I’m personally a non-confrotational person and just bottled it up….lets just say that didnt go so well! Truly wishing your students all the best of luck. Tell them to look me up on Facebook, I live in pennsylvania and would be more than glad to help anyone of them as much as I can, as they transition! Again..Thank you!
