App suggestion for Aleo’s “ZK apps competition”
The Aleo OTC Market is a marketplace where users can sell anything they want to each other, guaranteed by a smart contract.
What are the advantages of this project?
1Safe: the service does not keep the money — once the transaction is completed, a smart contract is created between buyer and seller, and the amount is transferred to the seller after the transaction is successfully confirmed
2Reliable: access to seller and buyer ratings as well as rewards for reliability
3Fast: no need to wait for a guarantor.
4Secure: in case of a dispute, a support agent can get involved, and will not see the previous conversation of the users (which contains the content that is being transferred)
5Innovative + mass adoption: transactions can be made on anything (car, real estate, physical goods, etc.)
What about income/expenses?
The OTC Marketplace’s income is the commission on transactions, as there are currently hundreds of millions of dollars worth of transactions every day through the OTC. Suppose we conduct OTC transactions of 5 million/day and assume that we charge 1% of the transaction. Total daily income is $50.000 x 30 = 1.5 million per month.
Part of this money will be spent on operating costs. But the main advantage is that the product generates constant profit and there is demand for the product at any phase of the market.
Then we create a fund/DeFi project in which we invest on behalf of the OTC platform and in this way, because the project generates constant profit, we build/invest in new projects and our budget, impact and opportunities grow consequently.
