Before I begin, I understand some of you may not know what Mahabharata is. The Mahabharata, along with Ramayana, are the two major epics of ancient India. It is a poem (the largest poem) that describes the great Kurukshetra war that took place roughly between the 8th & 9th centuries (to put things into perspective, the British arrived in India some 500 years ago!). It narrates the struggle between two groups of cousins in the war and the fates of the Kaurava and the Pandava princes and their successors.

The Kurukshetra War was fought for 18 days and the Pandavas emerged victoriously. However, the war led to the total destruction of the purity of the human mind and gave way to envy, greed & arrogance, and the human mind as we see it today. The epic brings forward the complex interpretation of humanity, perspective, ideas, wealth, success, expectations, life, death, and a lot more.

Now that I’ve given a brief idea of what Mahabharata is, you will find two kinds of people around you. The first kind, the ones who think the Mahabharata is a history of ancient India, and the others who think it is a myth.
