ICOs are one of the biggest marketing vehicles of blockchain future. Ethereum with it’s ERC20 token standard sparked new way of thinking about the future of not only currency, but the way people are structuring their projects. Of course not every business is tokenazible, but as soon as you understand the concept, your mind starts it’s own creative journey in how-this-could-be-applied-to-what-I-do, and then you fall through the rabbit hole into the wonderland. For now, ICO hype helps blockchain marketing and if enough real projects prove their business can work with tokens hype was justified. I wrote about our exploration journey to Crypto Valley, and how Americans are renaming ICOs to TGEs (Token Generating Events) so they don’t provoke too much comparison to IPOs. Whole space is yet in infancy, but it’s a wonderland for now.
