Running….

Just tried my hand at yoga for meditation. Was a calming experience. The way you activate the chakras in your body and prepare it step by step for the final task which is meditation. That part is pure bliss

An interesting part about meditation is the way you go about it. While you are at it, notice, your instructor will always ask you to not resist the thoughts. Let the thoughts flow in, positive or negative. Observe them, observe the colours that comes to you. Do not react. Focus on nothingness.

This got me thinking. So inside your mind, aren’t you running away from your problems? Indirectly isn’t running away a bliss? You are teaching your mind not to react.

Imagine this. You are running on a treadmill. To your left side, are positive thoughts and to your right, negative. At the top there are colours. Straight, you see your target. Some call it 'Nirvana’, same call it 'peace’, some call it being 'free’. There is light at the end of this tunnel.

You are just running and running away from your problems. So why is it that in real life when you do the same you are called a coward for running away from something you can’t deal? Why is it that a person indifferent to those circumstances in reality treated like an outcast? Well the basis of meditation is being indifferent.

Maybe it doesn’t matter what you term it as. Your hobby, travel or meditation. The basis of freedom is nothingness. We just choose our battles we can fight and the one’s we can retreat from.
