It would be useful if you could limit who uses the @ channel mention, not necessarily who posts.

The important thing is that you get the message across and this is by alerting everybody, but i don’t see why you would not want people to comment on these announcements.

In this case, should they create the same thread on another channel where they are allowed to post? Seems a bit overkill
