Are we out of the woods?

Emotions are everywhere. You celebrate you birthday or it is your wedding — you will feel it. The gratitude of being human — emotions. However, when your life takes a sharp step outside the line, you feel the “Bad” feelings.

What is it all about? The answer is still and clear — you see the world behaving not in the way you want it to be. That make a sence and I hardly believe that nobody will argue this. BUT! Why then sometime you are sad while there is no objective incentive to be like that?

The emotions are irrational. They have no logic at their background, they are biological. They are hormones which affect our brain tremendously. They add the special notes to the outside world that we see. Fear, as an example, helps us to figure out the problem and get out from the sticky situation we might have. Unfortunately, many people (so am I) are trying to force these “bad” feelings. Nobody wants to feel depressed, nobody wants to be worried. Then why does this happen to all of us? Why can’t we just accept this side of our life and get moving straight ahead?

We can’t because we simply still think of it! The problem is not inside the feelings that you feel, it is inside the thought that “something is wrong”.

If you think that problem is somewhere out there, then most probably that exactly this thought IS a problem!

The thought that something is not right s quite natural for us. We can be easily affected by the world: pictures in instagram, stories of success, and etc. The comparison leads to not self-satisfaction, and the latter in turn drives you brain mad and you want to find the reason WHY. Why I don’t have that life like on the pictures of my friends in Instagram? Why I didn’t have the great body? Why am I procrastinating all my life? Why am I not that good enough in studying? The truth is that this questions could be explained by the bunch of determinants: biological, psychological, and even religious ones!

The answer is that you are different, and you NEED and CAN accept yourself. And what does it mean to accept yourself? We hear it over and over again (mostly), but can’t really understand it. I alwayse got stuck with this answer cause like “well, if I will accept procrastinating, what do I need to do with it? I can put the deadline deeply in the future cause I’m okay with my procrastinating?”

No and No. Accepting your weaknesses is a complementary with moving in improving this field of life. You can’t work without it! If it just the unchangeable thing like politic situation, just let it be. But I don’t speak here about this kind of stuff. Giving yourself an incentive to go in the direction of improving your life in turn adds you hope and strength to do so. Don’t be afraid of changig your life — everybody does it. And life is all about changes. Changes of time at least. Tommorow you will be another person, and you will be yourself as well. Figure out what parts of your life have a great influence on your life and start working on it! Your will be surpised how simple it is to change your life! Good luck!
