The new updated VPAD — 50% Supply Reduction
We’re pleased to share the new updated VPAD tokenomics, now limiting the total token supply to 500 million tokens. This is a 50% decrease from the original 1 billion tokens.
The adjustments mainly affect VLaunch’s internal allocations. If you currently hold VPAD, your amount stays the same. In fact, the relative significance of your holders within the total token pool increases due to the 50% reduced total number of tokens.
Moreover, the total community allocations (Free IDO, IDO Locked, Future Drop, and Staking Rewards) will now make up 52% of the total supply, up from the previous 26%.
This decision was made primarily to address the concerns of inflation, protecting the interests of current token holders, backers, and potential future holders. Below, you’ll see the allocations that are either fully removed or reduced:
The following allocation will be entirely removed:
Furthermore, the following allocations will be reduced:
In addition, to this change to further address inflation we have adapted the lockup period and vesting schedules for the following allocations:
The Next Steps
It is important to note that in order to facilitate these changes, a necessary transition will be taking place, upgrading from VPAD 1.0 to the new VPAD 2.0. Our intention is to roll out these changes in Q3 2023.
We understand that you may have questions or concerns about these changes, so we’re committed to keeping you well-informed. Not only will we provide you with all necessary details ahead of time, but we will also offer a step-by-step guide outlining what needs to be done on your part. This way, you will be fully prepared and confident when these changes come into effect.
Importantly, please ensure that you only gather information and updates from VLaunch’s official channels to avoid misinformation or discrepancies.
As we embark on this exciting journey together, we wish to express our profound gratitude for your trust in us. Your support fuels our drive to innovate and optimize the VPAD ecosystem for the benefit of all participants.
