Website Screen Grab Magic for Perfect Before & Afters
I’m sitting across the cafe table today from my colleague Jasmin from Collaborave and her mouth drops open.

There was drool practically dripping from Jasmin’s mouth in last week’s coffee shop huddle because I had just showed her the easiest way I found to grab page-long screen grabs of clients sites — like these two:

When I ̶s̶a̶w̶ felt her overwhelmingly astonished / frustrated / relief-filled reaction, it took me back 3 years ago when I was trying to find the same damn thing.
I had googled every combination of keywords I could think of:
- website screen grab
- picture screen website
- how to get picture of website
- fancy website picture taker
… All of this to no avail. Nothing worked. In fact, I was sure nothing even existed that captured websites the way I wanted to.
Well, ladies and gents. It’s actually painless to grab phenomenal page-long screenshots of websites.
I don’t remember how I found it, but check out Snapito.

Just enter the exact URL you want to capture on this free site and within seconds you’ll get a save-able image of every inch of that page. No more “Prt Sc + scroll + Prt Sc + scroll” bs.
I use the page-long website screen grabs mostly for:
- My records of amazing sites I’ve built
- Before & Afters of exact spots on a page I want to highlight, like these 🤓 💪
- Sometimes, just to see how a site “feels” in a bigger sense when I’m still in production mode
Psst… Snapito’s homepage keywords (only for the nerdiest among us)? Free online website screenshot tool. Oh, duh!…
PRO TIP:
If you’re a web designer or copywriter, make sure you capture the BEFORE pic of someone’s site as soon as you land the client — and capture a before pic of every page of their site. If you have a process checklist, just add snapito as part of your process.
As soon as you launch a new site, it’ll all be gone and you’ll want a record of how far you actually took a client.
Snapito would also be great if you worked in branding, graphic, or any other kind of visual design! (I actually do something else for video or moving image capture I’ll share later :)
I use snapito in my business. What would you use it for?
p.s. This post took me 26 minutes to write, edit, add graphics, and schedule. Need help with yours? Call me :)
