Reducing governments ability to collect tax isn’t necessarily detrimental... If blockchain technology is to have the socioeconomic impact we hope for, it must also disintermediate government. For example, the U.S. government has military presence in approx. 70% of countries, the U.S. dollar is essentially backed by a gun to nation states heads... Reducing governments ability to fund large scale weapons programs is a plus in this case…

Having governments bid for our tax contributions as opposed to extracting, has the potential to put communities firmly in control of how taxes are vested and mitigates against their use in the ongoing destruction of society.
